My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi will return to Weekly Shonen Jump with Don’t Laugh, Shijima-san, a 61-page horror one-shot scheduled for the magazine’s combined Issue 37/38 on August 10. Described as a “boy-meets-girl horror” story, the manga will also feature a center color page.

The one-shot marks Horikoshi’s first manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump since My Hero Academia concluded in August 2024 after a decade-long run. Its horror premise represents a notable shift from the superhero action of his best-known series, offering readers an early look at a different creative direction for the artist.
