The Apothecary Diaries will return for Season 3 on October 2, 2026, airing Fridays at 11:00 p.m. JST on Nippon TV’s FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT block. A new trailer and key visual accompanied the announcement, with the trailer previewing Yorushika’s new opening theme, “Kumo wo Nuke Kazashimo e Watashi Dake.” Crunchyroll has also confirmed that it will stream the new season.

Season 3 will be split into two cours, with the second scheduled to begin in April 2027. OLM returns for animation production, with Akinori Fudesaka directing and Norihiro Naganuma handling series composition. Reina Ueda also joins the cast as the mysterious Bai Niangniang.

The television season will lead into an original The Apothecary Diaries anime film opening in Japan on December 11, 2027. Original light novel author Natsu Hyūga is writing the film’s story, extending Maomao and Jinshi’s adventures beyond the upcoming television season.
