Sekina Aoi and Ryo Tsuzura’s romantic comedy manga My Crush’s Crush (Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito) is officially getting a television anime adaptation. Manga artist Tsuzura released a commemorative illustration alongside the August 27 announcement, although a premiere date, animation studio, staff, and voice cast have not yet been revealed.

The adaptation brings another of Aoi’s works to television following series including GAMERS! and Student Council’s Discretion. My Crush’s Crush has been serialized in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Zero since November 2022, with its seventh collected volume released in Japan on August 28, 2026. The story follows Sora Akizuki through an increasingly complicated chain of unrequited crushes after the girl he likes reveals that she has feelings for someone else.

Yen Press also announced at Anime NYC 2026 that it has licensed the manga for English publication, giving the series a path to North American readers ahead of its anime debut. An English release date has not yet been announced, and no international streaming plans for the anime have been confirmed.
