Yang Can't Live Alone creator sooncha is moving the manga away from Square Enix following a breakdown in trust with the Manga UP! editorial department. The series ended its Manga UP! serialization with Chapter 15.3 in August, and sooncha has since said the publishing rights are being withdrawn from Square Enix so the manga can continue under another company. The identity of the new publisher has not yet been announced.


The change also affects currently available editions. Japanese digital retailers list Square Enix editions as ending sales on August 31 at 11:59 p.m. JST, while physical copies will no longer be distributed by Square Enix once existing stock is exhausted. Sooncha has indicated that revised physical and digital editions are planned under the new publisher, but details have not yet been released.


The English situation remains less clear. Square Enix Manga & Books still lists an English Volume 1 for September 15 and Volume 2 for December 8, while digital English chapters have also been appearing through Manga UP!. With the publishing relationship now ending, readers should treat those future English release plans as subject to change until Square Enix or sooncha provides an updated announcement.
