Pokémon Pokopia has surpassed five million units sold worldwide across physical and digital editions, just over five months after its March 5 launch for Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced the milestone following the release of the game’s first paid expansion, marking strong commercial performance for the life-simulation spin-off.
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass began with Part 1: Bubbly Basin on August 5, adding a new underwater town, additional Pokémon, furniture, and other content. A free Version 2.0 update released the same day also added Dive, allowing Ditto to explore underwater areas without requiring the paid expansion.
Support will continue beyond the first expansion. Part 2 of the Expansion Pass is scheduled for late 2026 and will add more Pokémon, accessories, and furniture, while Part 3 is planned for 2027 with another new town to explore and rebuild. Pokémon Pokopia remains exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.
